Every winter we take our youth into the mountains for some tubing. Since I will be having surgery right in the middle of when we normally take them we have re-worked our calendar. We were hoping to take a group of the kids this weekend, but just couldn't make it happen fast enough.
Well, I could have made it happen, but my boss Elizabeth has been trying to work on us not doing things last minute. And by us, I primarily mean me. I'm really good at going with the flow and flying by the seat of my pants; which in turns means I can be really bad about making things work when they probably shouldn't. So instead of making it work, we decided to postpone this particular night until March.
So instead of tubing, I spent today getting everything that has been missing from my house for the last month, or so. Half way through the trip I started to wonder how I've been living without so many of my basic necessities? It's amazing what you can do when you don't have time.
