Kids...FINALLY!!

We finally were able to see our students tonight!!!  It seems like it has been forever and a day since I had seen my babies.  And yes, I refer to my middle school youth as my babies.

Tonight was a pretty relaxing/mellow night.  We played a rousing game of polish pool.  Polish pool is this crazy, fast paced game where you race around the table trying to hit a ball before it stops or makes it into a pocket, you also want to avoid points, and there are lots of ways to get points.  It seems like a complicated game, but its not...it's so much fun, especially when you play with teens.  It's also a pretty good work-out.

After a few rounds of polish pool, we sat down for dinner and discussion.  We had our students take surveys about their faith and the program.  I'm glad we did the surveys, despite the blunt honesty.  It now gives us a jumping off point.  A lot of our students don't consider themselves Christians, or they think they are Christians 'half of the time'.

So it'll be good to get to really talk through their faith with them and really dive into the fundamental principles of Christianity.
